Description
Photograph of a view looking north along Arch Beach Road in Laguna Beach, ca.1905. The unpaved road can be seen in the foreground, and it crosses a small ravine using a simple wooden bridge beofre it continues into what appears to be a small town. At the extreme left of the picture, perched on a hill overlooking the ocean, is a small house with tiny windows. There are five or six buildings visible in town, including houses and what appear to be barns. There is a group of large trees in the town, which, with the exception of the tree near the house on the hill and endless expanses of grass, is the only vegetation. The ocean is visible at the right of the picture, and appears calm, save for a few scattered whitecaps breaking on the shoreline.
