Description
Photograph of a view of Sacramento Street from the Fairmont Hotel, showing earthquake damage, San Francisco, [s.d.]. A large building stands in the foreground on the right with crumbled slabs of concrete and broken wooden signs in a pile at the base of its wall. A broken "for sale" sign protrudes from the pile. A street lies at center with debris spilling over it from the left where a stone wall with a picket fence at its top still stands complete. Trees can be seen beyond the fence at the top of the wall while ruins are all that is seen further down the street in the background.
