Description
Photograph of an interior view of the supposedly fireproof Continental Insurance Company, showing earthquake damage, San Francisco, [s.d.]. Columns support a stone frame overhead which stands above the sea of bricks and debris in the foreground below. The roof is completely demolished along with most of the outer walls. A small, brick structure within the fallen structure stands at center with heavy damage to its roof. The fallen bricks of its ceiling can be seen in a pile through a window on the structure's second floor. A tall, broken brick wall stands to the left of the structure.
