Description
Proud and adoring father, African-American Dr. Warner R. Wright, presents older daughter Brenda Wright at this 1957 Links Social Club event, Los Angeles. Warner is guiding his daughter down some stairs holding her right hand in his left. She is wearing a light frilly ball gown, elbow-length gloves, and light high heels, and is carrying flowers. He is wearing a black tuxedo with a white carnation [?] in the lapel. Two other individuals are visible in the background. The photograph was taken inside the Beverly Hilton Hotel. "Oct. 19, 1957. Hottel [sic] Hilten Beverly Hills. Jep Smith played tell [?] alpha [?]. He's Ouidas husband."--handwritten on verso. McLain's Photo Service, 24 hour service, 1168 East 47th Place, AD1-9732, Los Angeles 11, Calif."-- printed on verso.
