Description
Photograph of an exterior view of a large California Ranch style house, [s.d.]. The one-story house shows several wide sliding windows throughout the surface of its exterior timber walls. It has a gable roof construction. Trees with a small trunk and large vegetated branches sit in front of the house, while a grassy ground covers the entire foreground.; An inserted paper label reads: "5.1 plus alternate. This is the largest of all the Rurban houses, having four bed rooms, yet in spite of maintaining all standards of design, it is compactly and economically planned. An illustration is the fact that all four bed rooms have cross ventilation and the hall has direct access to the garden, yet this hall is hardly longer than is often found in a two bed room house with an inside hall. The kitchen is larger than typical."
