Title
Seventeenth and Howard Street, showing bent tracks, San Francisco, 1906
Description
Photograph of Seventeenth and Howard Street, showing bent tracks, San Francisco, 1906. The cobblestone road extends from the foreground to the right distance. In the foreground on the left the stones of the road are broken and displaced. The track on the far left is dented several feet above street level. Further down the street the tracks are bent up with the street in a similar fashion and the road is sunk into the ground on the far right. Damaged buildings can be seen on either side of the street in the background with rubble scattered around them.
