Description

Photograph of an exterior view of a rectangular-shaped house, [s.d.]. The one-story house rests in the center while showing two large sliding windows and a narrow wooden door. It also shows a low roof and its walls are made of lumber. A few trees surround the house and small vegetation fills in the foreground.; An inserted paper label reads: "3.5 house type. This is a one bed room house which may be expanded to add another bed room, porch and dining alcove. It also has an extra clothes closet off the living room which will serve for use if a studio couch in the living room is used for extra sleeping quarters."

Title California Historical Society Collection, 1860-1960

Description The California Historical Society Collection is incomparable for the documentary picture it provides of the growth of Southern California, particularly the development of the Los Angeles region, between 1860 and 1960. The collection contains more than 25,000 photographs. The full archive was placed on long-term deposit at USC in 1990 and includes the Title Insurance and Trust Company Collection, also known as TICOR, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection.
