Description

Photograph of an exterior view of a one-story house, showing wide sliding windows, [s.d.]. The house on ground level with exterior walls made out of timber. Its wide sliding windows expose a partially visible view of the interior of the house. Vegetation surrounds the house while covering the entire ground area.; An inserted paper label reads: "4.5 house, a two bed room house. This house is built around a central hall which serves all parts of the house as well as the garden. Twin porches feature the living room. As in the case of all Rurban homes, another bed room may be added."

Title California Historical Society Collection, 1860-1960

Description The California Historical Society Collection is incomparable for the documentary picture it provides of the growth of Southern California, particularly the development of the Los Angeles region, between 1860 and 1960. The collection contains more than 25,000 photographs. The full archive was placed on long-term deposit at USC in 1990 and includes the Title Insurance and Trust Company Collection, also known as TICOR, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection.
