Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the two-story adobe home of Don Domingo Oyharzabal, showing its garage, San Juan Capistrano, ca.1930. The long, two-story adobe is pictured at center, seen from across the street where an automobile can be seen parked to the left. A large trellis with an arched opening is pictured at the right of the adobe and extends from the sidewalk to the lower edge of the second-story balcony. An annex is pictured farther right, shorter than one story, and its large opening suggests it is a garage. Bushes are planted along the sidewalk in front of the home. The paved road is visible in the foreground. An early record lists Domingo Oyharzabal as a "wealthy Basque sheepman".
