Description
Photograph of Borda Gardens, showing slanted archway structure in background, Cuernavaca, [s.d.]. In the extreme foreground at right, a large tree can be seen. In the foreground at center, a large lake can be seen extending from left to right. On the opposite shore of the lake, a slanted archway structure can be seen along the water. To the left of the structure, stairs are visible extending to the water's edge. Further in the background, trees are visible to the left and right. Behind the trees on the left, a large dome can be seen with a small cross stationed at its peak. In the extreme background tot he right, another domed tower can also be seen.

California Historical Society Collection, 1860-1960
Description
The California Historical Society Collection is incomparable for the documentary picture it provides of the growth of Southern California, particularly the development of the Los Angeles region, between 1860 and 1960. The collection contains more than 25,000 photographs. The full archive was placed on long-term deposit at USC in 1990 and includes the Title Insurance and Trust Company Collection, also known as TICOR, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection.
