Description
People coming, People going, Los Angeles, 1996. Wilshire/Western Station, interior west end, Metro Rail C Line (formerly the Red Line), Wilshire Boulevard at Western Avenue. People Coming presents portraits of community members approaching the viewer. People Going shows a few people walking away. Portions of the Wiltern Theater, located across the street, can be seen in the background. The mural's these encompasses the diversity of Los Angeles, its possible future, and a metaphor for a city always in transition. 2 ceramic tile panels, 52' long (each), by Richard Wyatt.
