Description
7-Up, the uncola, untitled, Hawthorne, 1968. "Though it appears stylistically to be much older, this mural was actually painted on Frank's Liquor store in 1998 by MGM Studios as part of a location shot for the movie 'Zabriskie Point' by Michelangelo Antonioni. The 'Un-cola' ad was also painted for the movie, thus giving 7-Up some free advertising. Frank's Liquor store is located in Hawthorne across from Northrop Aircraft." -- Environmental communications, Street paintings of Los Angeles, unpaged, #26,
