Description
Alice's Restaurant painting, Los Angeles, ca. 1970. The Alice's Restaurant painting on the side wall of Alice Restaurant near University of California, Los Angeles is a funky cartoon-style mural painted by Roberto Chavez. Most of the imagery in the paintings is based from "hip culture" mythology -- love-ins, Arlo Guthrie, communes, etc. -- Environmental Communications, Street paintings of Los Angeles, unpaged, #32; https://articles.latimes.com/1998/sep/03/entertainment/ca-18955.
