La vida es sagrada, 2001. 2515 Wabash Avenue, Monterey Park, Los Angeles. By Mictlan. Sponsor: Office of Mayor Richard Riordan, Councilman Nick Pacheco, L.A. Housing Dept, B.H.T.N.I., LAHD Neighborhood Recovery Pr. Mural painted on an exterior cinderblock wall. Depicts a woman in the center reading a book named Brown Unity, by Anahuak Books, a teacher to the right with many things written on the blackboard, including "1492 Columbus discovered you!!" Photographed ca. 2001 April.
