Description
Homeboy, East Los Angeles, 1970. Plaza Community Center, exterior south-facing wall, 648 South Indiana Street (between East Princeton Street and East Hubbard Street). The image is of a girl sobbing over a homeboy's grave. It was motivated by a gang fight that happened while the artist was teaching at this center. Acrylic on stucco, 10' x 10', by Manuel Cruz and gang youth. -- Dunitz, Street gallery, p. 286, #6.
