Description
Street of Eternity (Calle de Eternidad), Los Angeles, 1993, BBF Broadway building, exterior, 351 South Broadway. The arms that are reaching to the sky are based on Peruvian gold work. The Aztec calendar contains text by Octavio Paz about time and place. It brings poetry to the idea of being at home and in exile too at the same time, connecting us culturally and historically to our past and present. Acrylic, 64' x 42', by Johanna Poethig. Sponsored by Social and public Art Resource Center. -- Dunitz, Street gallery, rev. 2nd ed., p. 59, #106.
