Description
Photograph of group portrait of femal piano class of 1888-1889 at USC, [s.d.]. Four rows of women and girls pose for a class photograph on the steps outside of a large building. Seven women and girls sit in the first row, six women sit in the second row, nine sit in the third row, and five stand against the wooden doors of the building in the back. Some women sit on the stone rails beside the steps. To the left and right of the image, large windows can be seen on the front of the building. All of the women wear long dresses, and most of them wear hats.

California Historical Society Collection, 1860-1960
Description
The California Historical Society Collection is incomparable for the documentary picture it provides of the growth of Southern California, particularly the development of the Los Angeles region, between 1860 and 1960. The collection contains more than 25,000 photographs. The full archive was placed on long-term deposit at USC in 1990 and includes the Title Insurance and Trust Company Collection, also known as TICOR, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection.
