Description
Photograph of a young girl and boy practicing carpentry in a schoolroom, ca.1940. The two children are standing on opposite sides of a long wooden stool; they are both holding a saw with one hand while pushing down on a block of wood with the other. A small bookshelf can be seen behind them; its top shelves are filled with several blocks of wood and a small toy truck made out of wood is noticeable in one of the bottom shelves.; Above this shelf, several drawings are visible on the wall while each are labeled with a name: "[?]ony", "Dennis B.", "Ann", "Rebecca", "Jimmie", "Sharon M.", "Phil", and "Cathy". A small sign is attached to each of the drawings that say: "4 Little", "5 Little", "6 Little", "7 Little", "8 Little", "9 Little", and "10 Little", respectively.
