Description
Photograph of a row of automobiles parked outside Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, [s.d.]. Several people line up at what appears to be a ticket booth within the theatre building at right. The main portion of the theatre sits at center, sporting a pointed roof behind a plaza lined with palm trees and strewn with people. Another portion of the building appears at left, and several automobiles can be seen on the street before it. A couple can be seen crossing the paved street at center, while several other automobiles are visible across them.

Description
The more than 3,600 unique photographs of this collection document the Chamber's promotional efforts during the city's early years. In addition to stock photographs, there are pictures of the elaborate booths and displays that the Chamber prepared for use at state fairs and international trade shows. The photographic collection contains images showing the growth of important municipal enterprises, such as ground transportation systems, aviation, and shipping. In addition there are about 1,000 lantern slides in this collection -- not yet fully digitized.
