Description
Photographic portrait of an Apache Indian warrior aiming a gun, ca.1884. The man is kneeling at center and aiming his Winchester rifle to the left. He is wearing a tunic with vertical stripes, a pair of light-colored pants, tall leather moccasins, and has a bandanna around his head. He has long dark hair that disappears behind his shoulders. There is a Colt revolver leaning on his knee at right, and the ground on which he is kneeling is covered in dry brush.
