Title
Exterior view of an adobe church on Johnson Avenue, San Luis Obispo County, 1938
Description
Photograph of an exterior view of an adobe church on Johnson Avenue, San Luis Obispo County, 1938. At right, a one-story adobe is pictured, its roof threadbare, some of its planks and shingles torn away. In the foreground, tall grass inundates a wooden fence and gate, above which a sign that faintly reads "cemetery" can be seen. An earlier version of the record reads: "built in early days to serve Protestant settlers (later deserted as shown)".
