Description
Photograph of a group of unidentified grammar school children and teachers in South Pasadena, ca.1900. The group poses for the photo under the eaves of a building with a clapboard veneer. Many of the children look away from the camera, down at their feet or towards something out of frame to the left or right. To the left, in the first row of children, a boy holding a snare drum gazes off out of the frame while the other boys around him try to affect sophisticated poses.
