Description
Photograph of aviators Frank. H. Johnson and Clifford B. Harmon at the Dominguez Hills Air Meet, 1910. Both men are at center and are turned slightly to the right. One of them is seated at the controls of a early model Curtiss biplane and is wearing a dark pinstriped suit. His companion is behind him and is resting his hand on the frame of the plane. He is wearing a light-colored suit and a cap. The plane has a tricycle landing gear design that is partially visible on the grass. The canvas-covered wings are visible above and below the pilot, and the engine is directly behind him.
