Description
Photograph of a celebration on Spring Street, taken looking south from First Street, ca.1888. There is a band on the left side of the street, while on the right there is fairly heavy wagon traffic. The street is lined with spectators standing in front of shops. There are several blurred images of quickly moving pedestrians in the foreground, near a set of streetcar tracks. There is an American flag hanging on a wire stretched across the street. Legible signs on the buildings include, from left "Furniture", "Bartlett" and "J. [...] Dr".
