Description
Photograph of a view of Santa Monica Canyon looking west towards the ocean, 1912. Nestled in between two steep ridges is a small community, made up of one- and two-story buildings mixed in with large trees and divided by gently curving roads. The ocean is visible in the distance at left. The hill on the opposite side of the canyon has dense trees running along the top, and several houses are looking out over the valley below. There is an animal grazing in the lower right corner.
