Description
Photograph of a view of Pershing Square looking west on Hill Street and Sixth Street, Los Angeles, ca.1926. Two automobiles and a cable-car make their way along the street in the bottom right hand corner, while pedestrians and other automobiles go about their way along the street to the left. A tent that appears to be selling photographs or postcards has been set up on the sidewalk corner in front of the trees and grass of the Pershing Square park area. A huge line of people sit along the continuous bench that lines the path through the square. In the background, three identical buildings fly flags side by side with other buildings flanking them to the left and the right, one of which to the left is the Pacific Mutual building.
