Description
Photograph of a view down the Motherlode Highway in Angel's Camp, ca.1930. A wide dirt road is shown at center, dipping down a gentle incline into the distance. One- to two-story commercial shops line the street to either side, with parked automobiles standing in front of them. Occasional trees appear intermittantly along the roadside. The adobe to the left if the old court of the camp. The El Dorado Hotel is the second building on the right.; Legible signs from left to right include: "[...] Place", "New [...]", "Calaveras Meat Market", "Electric [...] Repair Shop. Auto Curtains Repaired" and "Vulcanizing".
