Description
Photograph of the Van Nuys family house -- a Victorian-style residence north of 6th Street in Los Angeles, [s.d.]. The house, approximately three-stories tall, features sharp-inclined roofs, dormer windows, a conic-shaped tower. The first floor is constructed of stone masonry. A paved walkway leads from the paved sidewalks, past the well-manicured lawn, and up to the porches of this large house.; "Los Angeles Pioneer and land baron. He and his father-in-law, Isaac Lankershim, developed the San Fernando Valley outside of Los Angeles. Both a street and a town were named for him. Lankershim and Van Nuys also founded the famous Hollywood Memorial Park, now known as Hollywood Forever." -- unknown author.
