Description
Photograph of the painting "Waning Day" by Stanton, depicting a country road draped in fog, [s.d.]. The painting appears to depict an area much like the English moors. A figure in a cloak and a cloaked child can be seen walking down the dirt road which cuts from left to right in the foreground towards the viewer. Next to the road, farther in the background, a long patch of heather fills the scene, harboring a flock of geese, which stand just outside a two-story thatch cottage. Two other cottages can be seen in the left distance shrouded in mist. To the far left, bog water shows the reflections of the two walkers.
