Description
Photograph of the statue of "El Salvadore" (Christ crowned with thorns) at Mission San Diego de Alcala, ca.1905. The bearded figure is wearing a cape. He is sitting on something. His forearms are crossed at his left, holding a walking(?) stick to his body. Blood drips down his face, torso, arms and legs. The statue sits on a woven surface (a table?). A wall with a chair rail is visible behind.
