Description
Photograph of shoppers eating at outdoor tables at what looks like the Farmer's Market in Los Angeles, 1940-1949. Several small wooden tables are crowded into an open courtyard at center. Many people are sitting around the tables in folding wooden chairs. The people are all dressed nicely, with the men in suits and ties and the women in dresses and hats. A tree is growing near the middle of the courtyard. Around the edge, several wooden buildings are visible. A basket full of produce can be seen in the foreground at right.
