Photograph of an interior view of a galleria in the rotunda addition at Frank Miller's Glenwood Mission Inn in Riverside, ca.1933. Large, intricate chandeliers create shadows on the long carpets which lie on the wood floors below. A bench sits at the center of a carpet in the foreground while tables sit on the carpets at center. Chairs sit along the wall along with large chests and small statues. The walls are decorated with large paintings and tapestries. Daylight shines on the art on the left wall from the large windows on the right wall.

Description The more than 3,600 unique photographs of this collection document the Chamber's promotional efforts during the city's early years. In addition to stock photographs, there are pictures of the elaborate booths and displays that the Chamber prepared for use at state fairs and international trade shows. The photographic collection contains images showing the growth of important municipal enterprises, such as ground transportation systems, aviation, and shipping. In addition there are about 1,000 lantern slides in this collection -- not yet fully digitized.
