Description
Photograph of people posing on the Jose Mascarel Ranch in Hollywood, ca.1896. Four women, most of whom are standing, pose with five children, all but one of whom are sitting, on what appears to be the tilled desert earth of a crop field at center. In the background to the right, what appear to be two more children stand in front of a windmill attending to an ox. To the left of this, three men stand in a wagon pulled by two horses. In the background, an adobe and a carriage house can be seen.
