Description
Photograph of the depot for the Pacific Electric Railway and Salt Lake Railroad in Long Beach, 1905. The long one-story Mission-style structure has a tile roof. Electric wires hang over the rails. About thirteen people are visible in the open-air waiting room separated from the platform by a series of arches. Two bicycles are parked nearby. A scale stands at one corner. A signal stands on the platform. Legible signs include: "Salt Lake Station", "Los A, 22 miles, Long Beach", ..."ticket office"..., "Postal, telegraph"..., "Baggage room".
