P.O, Box 235
Beirut, Lebanon
Dear Kir, Shnorhokians :
I appreciated your letter of Sept tho 2nd of this year, and also
your previous ones, Bynow you can see that I an a very poor correspondent.
I usually work "day and Night", not to make money but to keep up with the
nany ectivities in which I am engaged. The very comprehensive letter
you wkote a few yoars ago on the Armenian problems of the Near East, I
had turned over ‘to the late Judge N. Barsumian, since he was in the process
of producing an /rmenian protestant publication and that he thought that
he could use the material, I had asked him to acknowledge the letter then..
Recently I met Mr, Gulesarian of your publications and algo Rev.
Khacharian, and the local. meeting of our Armenian Mesionary Association.
Sone of us “pumped” him for a lot of information about the work and the
activitébs of the Armenians in the Near East, with the purpose of obtain.
ing background information on which to base our thinking, especially
for our work in the Armenian Missionary Association, Naturally there are
many questions in our minds about the work and we should be properly
informed to answer the many questions we receive fron those who contribute
towards the work, Although I do not wish at the present time to get into
these problens, I do wish to take the opportunity of at least presenting
a few of then to you, such ast 1. How effective is the work of the AMAA
as a Christian lyssionary agency? 2. hat administrative inprovenents and
avemues of administration need to be considered to obtain the best results?
What are the problems of leadership and what is being done about it?
(at the present time, I am writing an analysis on leafership which I wish
to present for study and consideration) 4. To what extent can the local
Armenians carry on their own needs? 5, why is the work or position of the
Haigazian College a matter of concern in the community? All of these
problems mst be clearified and improvements made, otherwise we are not
noving forvard, and the work will lose it’s effectiveness.
Row to cone to the request within your letter, which I most heart.
edly welcome, an article on ny Father, Rev Hovhannes Eskijian, This would
‘be be a most charished work of love, I have had many requests for biogra~
phies of my Father and I know that there are many still living that would
appreciate seeing it printed and many who may not know him, but would be
inspired by the heritage that was left to them to earry on, I would be
nost greatful and willing to assist in any way possible. I do have about
a dozen letters from persons having knowledge of my Father and have had the
privilege of working with him, These letters I will make copies of and send
‘them to you under separate cover within the next week or two, and if there
is any further information or assistance that I can doy please let me know,
Recently I came across sone background information of the War years
and the deportation, ‘the allopo area, Bey”
If you do not have
you @ copy, Lord richly bless you in HIS service
