Photograph of an interior view of a supermarket in Los Angeles, 1942. A large stack of cans can be seen in the foreground at center, while several rows of shelves stacked high with goods are visible in the background. Light is provided by lamps hanging from the ceiling. At center, a large neon sign advertises Ben-Hur Coffee, while similar signs denote different sections of the store. Rectangular windows can be seen high on the wall in the distance at left.
