Description
Photograph of grade separation at Figueroa and Temple, 1930-1949. In the foreground at left, a series of speed bumps are visible leading to a concrete wall. To the left of the wall, a street with an automobile traveling towards the foreground can be seen. A similar concrete wall can be seen to the far right beside a similar road. Several automobiles are parked along the side of the road. Between the two concrete walls, a wide road dips below a small concrete bridge in the background at center. Three automobiles can be seen along this road in the far background. In the background at the far left and right, lines buildings and utility poles can be seen. Additional buildings are visible in the extreme background at center.

California Historical Society Collection, 1860-1960
Description
The California Historical Society Collection is incomparable for the documentary picture it provides of the growth of Southern California, particularly the development of the Los Angeles region, between 1860 and 1960. The collection contains more than 25,000 photographs. The full archive was placed on long-term deposit at USC in 1990 and includes the Title Insurance and Trust Company Collection, also known as TICOR, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection.
