Text continues: "1. Sexually transmitted diseases are epidemic in 15-24 year-old age group. 2. Anyone 12 years of age an older can be examined/treated for STDs without permission or knowledge of parents. 3. You can have more than one sexually transmissible disease at one time and still not show any danger signs. 4. Syphilis and gonorrhea are curable, but you can be reinfected. 6. Proper use of a condom during sexual intercourse will greatly reduce your chances of contracting or spreading venereal disease. 7. Free, confidential sexually transmitted disease check-ups are available. STD can be prevented." White text on black background.

ONE National Gay & Lesbian Archives is the oldest active Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning (LGBTQ) organization in the United States and the largest repository of LGBTQ materials in the world. Founded in 1952, ONE Archives currently houses over two million archival items including periodicals, books, film, video and audio recordings, photographs, artworks, organizational records and personal papers.
