Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the front of the Metro Pictures Corporation building in Hollywood, ca.1920-1929. The studio is located at right. It is a one-story Romanesque building with large columns in front. A tower topped by an American flag can be seen over the entrance to the building. A concrete sidewalk runs in front of the building from the foreground at right to the background at left, and many young trees are planted along its length. A wide dirt road can be seen at center and left, with many automobiles visible.

California Historical Society Collection, 1860-1960
Description
The California Historical Society Collection is incomparable for the documentary picture it provides of the growth of Southern California, particularly the development of the Los Angeles region, between 1860 and 1960. The collection contains more than 25,000 photographs. The full archive was placed on long-term deposit at USC in 1990 and includes the Title Insurance and Trust Company Collection, also known as TICOR, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection.
