Description
Photograph of exterior view of the Marbert Morris and Eyne Corporation Building, 1900. In the foreground at center, a wide road can be seen extending to the right and connecting with another street at left. Along the curb on the opposite side of the street, three automobiles can be seen parked to the right, while a single vehicle sits along the other edge of the corner at left. Between the sets of cars, a utility pole and lamp post can be seen. On the corner of the street, a large building can be seen. A row of small paned windows can be seen on both stories of the building. Near the front door, a sign can be seen stating: "Marbert Morris & Eyne Corp.".

Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection 1890-1960
Description
The more than 3,600 unique photographs of this collection document the Chamber's promotional efforts during the city's early years. In addition to stock photographs, there are pictures of the elaborate booths and displays that the Chamber prepared for use at state fairs and international trade shows. The photographic collection contains images showing the growth of important municipal enterprises, such as ground transportation systems, aviation, and shipping. In addition there are about 1,000 lantern slides in this collection -- not yet fully digitized.
