Description
Photograph of an exterior view of Whittier College, ca.1905. A four-story, brick, Georgian-style building sits at the center middleground. Rows of dormer windows protrude from its shingled roof, while a square turret with a high steeple sits at the near left corner of the building. Each of the first two floors of the building has a row of paned windows framed by decorative arches, while the entrance is indicated by a large, columned portico. A brick chimney projects from a dormer window at the left edge of the building. A dirt or gravel walkway curves along the ground at the right of the building, while another diagonally crossees the lower left corner. Trees fill the fore-and backgrounds.
