Description
Development overtaking animal habitat, La Verne, 1991. Afflerbaugh -Paige High School, exterior, 6621 North Stephens Ranch road, La Verne. A landscape populated by a diverse assortment of animals co-existing peacefully, juxtaposed with signs advertising food and furniture. This school is attended by boys incarcerated in the minimum-security Afflerbaugh and Paige Youth Camps. Acrylic, by students supervised by artist Betty Dore. Sponsored by L.A. County Office of Education and L.A. Theatre Works. -- Dunitz, Street gallery, rev. 2nd ed., p. 346, #14.
