Description
Doheny Memorial Library's first exhibition, 1932 September 12-18. The first items exhibited in Doheny Memorial Library's Treasure Room were rare items from Estelle Doheny's private literary collection. Pictured are William Blake's The Book of Job (London, 1826) (item 153) and Hans Holbein's Drawings of Illustrious Persons at the Court of Henry VIII. (engraved by Bartolozzi, 2 volumes, London, 1792-1802, 1st edition) (item 162). The complete 36-page catalog can be viewed at the HathiTrust ( https://catalog.hathitrust.org/Record/001166273 ).
