"ARAPOKINA - L'Entree en Nouvelle-Guinee - The entrance to New-Guinea." Four indigenous men navigate two boats up a river. One of the boats has a covering.
The back of the postcard is blank and contains printed information about the publisher: "Missionnaires du Sacre-Coeur d'Issoudun. -- PAPOUASIE - NOUVELLE-GUINEE (Oceanie) -- Sacred Heart Fathers - Papua." The Sacred Heart Fathers were a Catholic missions agency.
