Photograph of aerial view of copy of San Andreas fault, November 1933. Near the bottom of the image, a single large ridge can be seen moving from left to right. Similarly near the top of the image, clusters of elevated ridges representing mountain ranges are visible. Between these two ranges, at least three large cracks can be seen in the earth. Some small cracks parallel to the mountains are also visible.
