In the extreme foreground at the bottom of the image, various vegetation and branches are visible near the bases of trees. A single branch can also be seen obscuring part of the upper-right portion of the image. At the center of the image, a large pine tree is visible. Several branches can be seen extending from the thin trunk of the tree giving it a conical shape. Behind the tree, a small path or clearing is visible lined with trees on either side. In the background, a large cluster of pine trees can be seen extending from the far left to the right. In the extreme background, a single mountain peak is visible. The mountain climbs from the left to the right, and several trees are visible along its slope. A caption on the side of the image reads: "Big Pines Recreation Camp, Winter Scene".
