498 negatives from the Archive of the Automobile Club of Southern California. These photographs constitute part of the effort of the Club to document the growing use and popularity of the automobile in southern California, especially Los Angeles, from 1892 to 1963. They include images of roads, automobiles, traffic, intersections, parking lots, railroads, bridges, tunnels, dams, and buildings. The growth and activities of the Club itself are also documented.
