'This drawing by Louis Choris, painter attached to the Kotzebue exploring expedition sent out from Russia in the
ship " Rurick," shows the Presidio as it appeared in October, 1816. The quadrilateral, consisting of barracks and
storerooms, has disappeared except for a portion of the southern side, now used as the Officer s Club.
