Photograph of a view of the Cliff House and Seal Rocks, San Francisco, ca.1900. The Cliff House, an eight-story building constructed in the Queen Anne style of architecture, sits at center. Turrets protrude from each of its four corners, while an observation tower is at the roof's center. Seal Rocks sit to the left and right of the building, amidst the waters of the bay which stretch to the horizon. Two people walk along a paved path, on a higher level of the cliff, that occupies the right foreground of the image.; This is the second Cliff House to be constructed; it was destroyed by fire in 1907, as was the first house in 1894. The rooms in the second Cliff House included parlors, dining rooms, a photo gallery, and a gem exhibit.
