A large, nine-story highrise stands on the corner while cars, trolleys and pedestrians pass below. The sign on the bottom of the building above the canopy-covered shop windows reads "Ligett's Drug Store" in cursive lettering. Above that, on the second floor, a placard has been placed, reading "Governor Friend Wm. Richardson". Other signs include "Public Auction", "Grill" and "Tailor". More skyscrapers are visible descending into the background at right.
